Fixing what ails our democracy will require a larger and more networked constituency of individuals and organizations to advance real change. Since February 2019, FixUS has been hosting a recurring breakfast group meeting (which have now gone virtual due to COVID) for leaders of democracy reform organizations working on a variety of issues including ballot access, gerrymandering, primaries, civic dialogue and others. Over 50 organizations regularly participate in these forums for updates, networking, and presentations on pressing issues of interest. If you are interested in learning more about the Democracy Reformers Breakfast Group or participating in one of its meetings, please reach out to Colin Achilles at achilles@crfb.org.
FixUS is building a policy and issue group network, with individuals and organizations who work on many different causes, including veterans issues, climate, immigration, health care, budget, and others. What all of these organizations have in common is a shared frustration over the fact that the political climate is prohibiting meaningful progress on the issues that matter to them. We are building a group engaged in bringing a better understanding of why FixUS’ work is so critical and how each has a stake in resolving our current state of division, distrust, and dysfunction. If you are interested in learning more about the Policy Group, please reach out to Aaron Kahn at kahn@crfb.org.
