Fixing what ails our democracy will require a larger and more networked constituency of individuals and organizations to advance real change. Since February 2019, FixUS has been hosting recurring breakfast group meetings (which have gone virtual since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic) for leaders of democracy reform organizations working on a variety of issues including ballot access, gerrymandering, primaries, civic dialogue, and others. Over 100 organizations regularly participate in these forums for updates, networking, and presentations on pressing issues of interest. If you are interested in learning more about the Democracy Reformers Breakfast Group or participating in one of its meetings, please reach out to Andrew Henry at henry@crfb.org.
FixUS regularly convenes dozens of leading academics and intellectuals from across the ideological spectrum to analyze the dynamic forces driving our democracy's foundational issues and to critique and elevate each other's research and written works. See the Roundtable Report that spawned the "Thinkers" Group and constitutes a few of its leading members. If you are a scholar or academic whose work is related to depolarization, increasing trust, or reducing dysfunction in American government or society and are interested in taking part in the Thinkers Group, please contact Andrew Henry at henry@crfb.org.
